Happy Campers

The military does it right.

Thanks to Joey, we got two sites in the military-only campground in San O.  Thanks Joey! In our two adjoining sites we had my mom and dad, both my sisters and their husbands, and us. We had walks on the beach, margaritas, books, mid-day naps...

We were literaly on the sand, just about 20 feet from the crashing waves.

Our campsite was just a few minutes walk from the great surf spots, Old Mans, Churches and Lowers. As a bonus, there was a bit of a swell all week. I had sandy, salty hair  for about six days straight. We surfed for hours each day.
Between the surf and the tropical weather, it reminded me of traveling around Central America and Mexico.

(A little pre-bed dirt roll in his pjs. Nice.)

Surf overload for us, smores overload for the kids, and lots of love from our family...we went to bed every night, very, very happy campers ;)

Looks amazing!!! So, can my air force brother in law get us in there too?

Anybody with a Military ID card can get a reservation. Now you just have to convince him to go with you. (The military member has to be there the whole time, they can't just get a reservation for someone else)

Yep! I think that about sums it up! Although they didn't look for Joey at all after we checked in, it's probably a rule.
