yosemite 2012

Yosemite is an amazing place. This was our second (hopefully) annual camping trip in Yosemite. Here's a bullet-style run-down of our trip.
  • Every day we walked all around the valley with the double Bob exploring the museums, waterfalls, and river.
  • We spent one day lounging on the sandy beach next to the campsite.
  • Our good friends Katie and Avery joined us and we had a great time catching up with them.
  • Josiah loves the river, all he wanted to do was throw rocks in the river and watch us do the same.
  • Kaila was way braver than Josiah, splashing around and trying to eat the sand.
  • The nights were stressful. Josiah slept fine, Kaila did her standard 7 month thing (waking up, puking a few times, you know, fun special times.) but the real clencher was the giant 6 year old birthday party of 20 kids running around all night at the site right next to us. The last night was finally quiet.
  • Josiah kept saying "Woooooooow!" to all the giant cliff faces and pine trees. It was so neat to see our little man appreciating the things Ryan and I love.
Camping with kids sometimes takes a day or so to ease into, so I'm glad we stayed for 4 nights.

Dirty and snotty the whole time!

We already can't wait for next year! I love camping!

Glad you had a good time despite the little annoyances! :) Yosemite is so gorgeous... I need to go back one of these days.

I have to admit though.... I hate camping. I love the great outdoors, I love camp, I love cabins... hate camping. That's good for you though, cause it's one less person trying to book the campsite you want.
